Electrical 2D drafting and BIM design is Helmet’s specialization within the Engineering services, with the ability to draw and design: Lighting system layout, Power distribution layout, Electrical power riser diagram, and Lighting photometric calculations, among others.

All of Helmet’s drafts and designs are regulated by the National Electric Code (NEC) and other construction and design standards in the U.S. and Canada. To provide the highest quality in BIM service, Helmet remains current on the advances in technology and manufacturing of construction consumer products. Helmet’s engineers have the capacity to work in AutoCAD or Revit to comply with client’s electrical design standards and requirements for each project.

The first three image expose the photometric design for a wine cellar, for which Revit MEP was utilized with a plug-in ElumTools to measure the space’s illumination. Image 4, 5 & 6 are Helmet’s offices electrical design. Exhibit 7 illustrates and electrical legend. Exhibit 8, an electrical power riser diagram, and Exhibit 9 panel schedules. The next two images are example of electrical details that specify exactly how each device is going to be installed. Finally, the last 5 images show the electric system of a building being modeling in 3D.
